FINGER-PICKING

Fingers of both hands play an important role in guitar playing. Your fingers must be faithful to 'what you want them to do'.

TABLATURE (short form TAB)

Another way of writing down music for the guitar and other fretted instruments is called the TABLATURE.

The TAB is based on the Six-line grid and each line represents each one of the guitar strings. The top line the 1st string (E string) while the bottom line is the 6th string (E string).

Notes written on the staff are written on the TAB as shown below.
